About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor - Welding Expert to lead maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for executing Total Maintenance System (TMS) activities, driving Autonomous Maintenance and Professional Maintenance initiatives, ensuring daily operational performance, leading root cause analysis activities, managing unionized resources, and supporting continuous improvement through Shop Floor Management practices.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in welding processes, industrial automation, robotics, PLCs, and manufacturing systems, combined with proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical systems
- Hydraulics
- Electronics
- Advanced experience with industrial robots:
- ABB
- FANUC
- NACHI
- COMAU
- Advanced knowledge of industrial communication networks:
- ControlNet
- EtherNet/IP
- DeviceNet
- PILZ
- Advanced programming and troubleshooting of:
- RSLogix 5000
- GuardLogix PLCs
- Advanced expertise in welding technologies:
- Resistance welding
- Electric arc welding
- Projection welding
- Laser welding
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems:
- Power & Free
- Chain-on-Edge
- Inverted Power & Free
- Advanced knowledge of:
- SCA Schucker sealing systems
- Nordson adhesive systems
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge.
- Knowledge of induction curing systems.
- Experience with crimping presses and robotic roller hemming systems.
- Knowledge and management of non-new model projects.
- Maintenance cost management experience.
- Knowledge of:
- Electrical substations
- Compressors
- Cooling towers
- Extraction systems
