Position Summary:

The treater is responsible for operation of pressure treating systems and transfer deck as required.

 

Responsibilities:

• Operates pressure treating systems as required, including testing, mixing, plant control operation and system monitoring
• Pressures treat lumber and poles to specifications
• Unloads chemical deliveries
• Cleaning and maintenance of treating systems, including greasing, filter cleaning / changing, cleaning tanks, door pits and plant surfaces
• Maintains daily plant checklist and reports items of concern to plant Supervisor and maintenance department as applicable.
• Operates and monitors kilns and fixation tunnel as required
• Loads and unloads lumber treating carts as required
• Maintains pressure treating carts, greasing and removing for repair as required
• Safe and responsible operation of company equipment at all times
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Abides to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
