Description for Internal Candidates

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Station Casinos “We Win Hearts” Company-wide culture. 

  • Help carry out the organization’s information security strategy.

  • Implement security standards and best practices for the organization. 

  • Implement strategies to respond to and recover from a security breach. Review, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts. 

  • Enable correlated dataflows from security signals and tools as required. 

  • Participate in vulnerability management and remediation activities. 

  • Constantly monitor the organization’s networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. 

  • Perform trend analyses to reveal gaps in security coverage and locate hidden threats.

  • Perform threat hunting using community and custom indicators of compromise. 

  • Operate security tools at a functional level to assist other IT teams and the business.

  • Perform daily system checks to ensure that the security stack is operating as designed.

  • Participate in incident response activities if a breach has occurred to minimize the impact.

  • Participate in access reviews to maintain the principle of least privilege. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and procedures. 

  • Assist in creating reports on security metrics and key performance indicators. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field and/or Cybersecurity certificate program.

  •  Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and best practices. 

  •  Basic knowledge of networking protocols and system administration. 

  •  Exposure to identity access management. 

  •  Knowledge of system, security, and network monitoring tools. 

  •  Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

  •  Exposure to risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods. 

  •  Exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks 

  •  Ability to communicate effectively with Product Owners, Stakeholders, Team Members and Leadership in both written and verbal form. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
