Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our Global Human Resources team in Japan. HR Advisory roles are located across the globe / regions and will support our HR Business Partner & HR Country Head teams and work closely with GHR/CC COEs to provide support across a wide range of GHR solutions and processes. It will report to the Global Head of Advisory based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the HR BP / HR CH team to deliver the HR priorities for their respective client group or country

  • Partner with relevant GHR/CC COEs in the delivery of GHR products & streamline processes to support business objectives

  • Actively support client groups through critical HR processes, e.g. Performance Management, Talent management, TCP etc.

  • Drive resolution for client queries in close cooperation with GHR Service Center and relevant GHR/CC COEs

  • Partner with HR Analytics to analyse people related data and derive critical business insights

  • Educate employees and managers on HR matters and ensure compliance with the Company's HR policies, processes and practices

  • Provide occasional backup support for HRBP / HR CH activities on an as-needed basis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and fluency in English are required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field preferred

  • Significant progressive HR experience within a large, global, matrixed organization

  • A minimum of 6 years of diverse HR experience; client-facing experience is a strong differentiator

  • Solid understanding of HR concepts and principles gained through direct work experience

  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and relevant regulations

  • Strong process skills and project management experience

  • Mastering advanced functions in Microsoft Office such as PowerPoint (master slides, data visualization), Excel (pivot tables, modelling) and Word (document automation, styles)

  • Willingness to learn and develop and potential to take on broader responsibilities

  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and AI tools

  • Hands-on experience with a human capital management system such as Workday

  • Solid communication skills, verbal, written and presentation; ability to effectively communicate recommendations and rationale to internal stakeholders

  • Team member who can work collaboratively with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills

  • Proven critical thinking and analytical skills, with ability to creatively problem solve and is results driven

  • Highly organized, with clear attention to detail

  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work in an environment where priorities may change frequently; aptitude to self-direct and proven work ethic

  • Demonstrated personal and professional integrity
