About the team
You will be part of the Events/Marketing Team, reporting to the Head of Events.Your mission
We are seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager (all genders) to support and scale STARK’s growing portfolio of defence, industry and technology events. The candidate will take dedicated ownership of large-scale international exhibitions, while ensuring consistent quality, execution excellence, and alignment across global event and marketing activities.
This is a senior but hands-on role suited for professionals who enjoy project managing events and expos, taking responsibility and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Delivery
Act as dedicated event manager for major international exhibitions (e.g. ILA, DSEI, MSC and comparable formats), owning planning and execution end-to-end.
Support central event planning across the wider event portfolio.
Closely align STARKs public presence with overall go-to-market, business development, and communications objectives.
Coordinate complex event logistics including booth concepts, demos, briefings, stakeholder meetings, and on-site execution.
With the help of the Marketing and Brand team, organise dedicated event marketing materials (giveaways, brochures, presentations, signage, digital assets) in German and English.
Stakeholder & Agency Management
Act as the single point of contact for large exhibitions, both in person and on portals.
Act as a key interface to external agencies, suppliers, and service providers (creative, PR, digital, AV, logistics, printing).
Liaise with government, military, and institutional stakeholders as required to ensure proper protocol and positioning.
Post-Event Analysis & Reporting
Lead post-event analysis including KPIs, ROI, attendee feedback, and strategic recommendations.
Deliver concise, actionable reports to inform future event strategy and investment decisions.
Maintain structured documentation and knowledge sharing for future use.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in event roles, preferably within defence, security, aerospace, or technology sectors; OR equivalent experience as a Project Manager organising large formats.
Fluent in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with external agencies and managing multiple stakeholders.
Available to travel and be mobile
Nice to have
Proven experience managing large-scale international exhibitions and complex event logistics.
Strong understanding of defence industry culture, operational tempo, and sensitivities.
Ukrainian language is a plus
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
