Print Hub Manager

About this role

Some of what you will do:

Accountable for driving volume and profitability by achieving financial and non-financial business results.  Responsible to develop and promote the business plan and vision in connection with the divisional and company objectives.  Responsible for instilling company values in others through modeling, coaching and providing high quality instruction.  Grows the business by fostering a culture of ongoing learning, leveraging and developing talent. Accountable for succession planning and performance management processes in the production centre.

 

Specifically, You Will:

  • Consistently delivers on established Service Level Agreement (SLA) objectives and foster trust with the network of retail stores.

  • Accountable for profit and loss (P&L) performance, including tracking all hub level expenses and managing spends to budget.

  • Sets strategies, volume goals and targets for the hub and creates a communication plan to ensure team understands connection between store financial success and bonus programs.

  • Responsible for the direct supervision and development of the management and Hub team.

  • Formulates and executes an internal associate succession plan to support business growth.

  • Manages and ensures execution of process excellence standards and initiatives. 

  • Ensures overall management of the day-to-day operations and maximizes productivity.

 

Some of what you need:

  • College or Technical School Diploma in Print Production preferred. 

  • Demonstrates senior leadership and management ability.

  • Demonstrates business acumen at a senior level.

  • Understands steps involved in the printing process.

  • Working knowledge of relevant platforms; preflight and industry software, file specifications and standards, desktop publishing terminology, file naming conventions.

  • Knowledge of database systems and workflow management programs.

  • Basic color theory (models and space), calibration procedures, color profiles, color gamut of devices, and color management devices.

  • Knowledge of internal and external network environment, operating systems, file types and extensions, software and hardware components of a prepress operation, file transfer (FTP, HTTP) protocols.

  • 5-7 years experience in the graphic communication and printing industry with a specific background print production with clear management experience.
