The Warranty Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and analyzing returned products to determine failure modes and assist in resolving warranty claims. This role plays a key part in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring product reliability for our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and document returned warranty parts.
  • Perform failure analysis through testing, disassembly, and visual inspection.
  • Identify root causes of product failures and provide detailed reports to engineering and quality teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support corrective and preventive actions to reduce warranty issues.
  • Assist in tracking warranty trends and providing feedback for product improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with customer warranty policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in warranty analysis, product testing, or quality inspection in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to disassemble and inspect components.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5Why, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams).
  • Basic understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
