Logistics Associate II

Supporting and assisting the plant with all incoming and outgoing shipments, foreign and domestic. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supply chain management duties, including selecting carriers and researching shipping methods. 
  • Works independently with minimal supervision, exercising discretion, sound judgement, and professionalism in all tasks.
  • Leads the daily operation of incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Assist & monitors transportation budgets to keep costs at or below plan.
  • Plans and monitors inbound and outgoing deliveries.
  • Works with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Updates and evaluates metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
  • Ensures all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements. 
  • Assists associates within the Materials, Shipping and Receiving Departments on special assignments as required.
  • Close coordination with various Department Managers and Supervisors as required.
  • May be required to perform miscellaneous related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing shipments.

Qualifications:

  • Trainable; willingness to learn.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities. 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Forklift experience a plus
