CDL - Water & Septic Hauler / Heavy Haul
About this role
Stallion is seeking a CDL Class A Driver with no restrictions to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting septic waste from customer locations to disposal lagoons, hauling fresh water from depots to customer sites, and delivering rental assets and shipping/connex containers to and from customer locations. Drivers will operate a variety of equipment including vacuum trucks, water trucks, pickup trucks with gooseneck trailers, and commercial motor vehicles. This role primarily involves local travel with occasional day trips and requires the ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
Role Priorities & Responsibilities
- Safely transport septic waste from customer locations to designated lagoons and deliver fresh water from depots to customer sites.
- Operate vacuum trucks, water trucks, Class A commercial vehicles, pickup trucks with gooseneck trailers, and other assigned equipment.
- Pull various loads to and from drilling, production, and customer service locations.
- Transport rental equipment and assets including light towers, generators, solar security trailers, luxury restroom trailers, shipping containers, and other jobsite equipment.
- May transport oversized loads such as forklifts, man lifts, and other oversized equipment.
- Safely load, unload, secure, and deliver equipment while providing excellent customer service.
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Complete daily Job Safety Analyses (JSA), pre-trip and post-trip inspections, driver logs, near-miss reports, and hazard reports.
- Maintain accurate records utilizing electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS, and dispatching systems.
- Conduct routine equipment assessments and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure trucks, trailers, and equipment are properly maintained and operating safely.
- Read, understand, and utilize electronic maps, GPS systems, mobile phones, and iPads for dispatching and route management.
- Perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and securing loads.
- Operate manual transmissions up to 18-speed and safely drive in varying road, weather, and site conditions.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work in a variety of environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, dust, noise, vibrations, fumes, and odors.
- Frequently work outdoors and operate GPS-monitored vehicles.
- Potential exposure to high-traffic conditions while loading, unloading, or servicing customers.
- Must be physically able to:
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted between 25–50 times per day.
- Push or pull up to 50 pounds unassisted between 25–50 times per day.
- Enter and exit commercial vehicle cabs 30–50 times per day.
- Bend at the waist and knees 120–150 times per day.
- Reach overhead and pull down with up to 20 pounds of force to secure straps and equipment.
- Climb up to 8 feet in height to attach straps and secure loads.
- Ability to work safely in all weather and road conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Valid CDL Class A with no restrictions.
- Tanker Endorsement required.
- Must possess a valid DOT Medical Card.
- Demonstrated experience operating manual transmissions up to 18-speed.
- TWIC card preferred.
- Must maintain a motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements (no more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years).
- Ability to pass pre-employment background screening, DISA drug and alcohol screening, and all required company screening processes.
- Stallion maintains a drug-free workplace, and employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic driver logs.
- Complete all required inspections and safety documentation.
- Adhere to company health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Represent Stallion professionally while interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
