What You'll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in D365 Finance and be responsible for ensuring that product enhancements, customer-specific customizations, change requests (CRs), and defect fixes are validated against business and functional requirements before release.
Validate Change Requests (CRs), enhancements, and defect fixes against business and functional requirements.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Services teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Create and maintain business scenarios, test plans, test cases, and functional test suites.
Maintain requirement traceability and manage test execution in Azure DevOps.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and release testing to ensure product quality.
Review functional specifications and acceptance criteria to improve solution quality and testability.
Investigate, reproduce, and validate defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Perform impact analysis and validate fixes across end-to-end business processes.
Ensure QA standards and release readiness criteria are met before sign-off.
Track testing progress, defects, and quality metrics, providing regular stakeholder updates.
Continuously improve testing processes, documentation, and reusable test assets.
Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance requirement analysis, test design, and functional validation.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Minimum 5–8+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant or Functional QA Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
Strong expertise in D365 F&O Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory, Production, Sales & Marketing, and Advanced Warehouse Management
Experience in business process analysis, functional solution design, and end-to-end D365 F&O implementations, including integration validation and data migration validation
Strong understanding of business processes and industry best practices
Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certification preferred
Extensive experience in functional, integration, and regression testing
Demonstrated expertise in developing comprehensive test plans and functional test cases aligned with key business scenarios, product capabilities, and both functional and non-functional requirements
Skilled in requirement analysis, executing manual tests, identifying defects, and validating that functionalities work as expected
Expertise in identifying, logging, tracking, and managing defects throughout the testing lifecycle, including root cause analysis
Strong capability in regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely impact existing functionality
Experience validating integrations, data migration, and end-to-end business processes
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for work item management, test case execution, defect tracking, and release management
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and the ability to leverage AI for requirement analysis, test design, defect investigation, and productivity improvement is a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills; collaborates effectively across Product, Development, Services, and Customer teams
Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
