Part-Time Community Relations Liaison

Youth Vaping Prevention

Part Time Weekdays

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Part Time Community Relations Liaison to support the implementation of a youth vaping prevention and cessation program. This position will coordinate with Questar III BOCES, participating school districts, youth-serving community organizations, prevention partners, parents/caregivers, and school personnel to prevent youth initiation of e-cigarettes and increase access to youth vaping cessation supports.

The Community Relations Liaison will organize parent/caregiver education events, provide training and technical assistance to school staff and community partners, support implementation of evidence-based youth vaping prevention and cessation resources, assist schools with alternatives-to-suspension approaches, and track project activities and outcomes for reporting and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in public health, health education, education, social work, human services, community health, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in public health, health education, community health, social work, education, counseling, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Two or more years of experience in public health, health education, school-based programming, prevention education, or youth development.
  • Tobacco/nicotine prevention or cessation, behavioral health, community outreach, or related work preferred btu not required.
  • Functional computer skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and shift priorities to meet goals.
  • Strong relationship-building and engagement skills with diverse community segments.
  • Excellent organizational and reporting skills. Public speaking skills.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between sites in the Capital Region. Mileage reimbursed at GSA rate.

Pay range: $25.85 - $37.50

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
