Commercial Engineer Trainee - Ship Repairs (Gul)

About this role
Responsibilities:
- Make accurate estimate tender bid to secure vessels for repair and conversion work
- Source for subcontractors for specialised jobs and complex work
- Prepare accurate and detailed invoicing to achieve desire margin
- Liaise with Ship Repair Manager and Project Supervisor for preparation of invoice
- Settlement of invoice of completed projects with attending Owner Representative
- Assess, negotiate and settlement of subcontractor’s invoices
Requirements:
- Possess Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field
- Experience in subcontracting and major equipment procurement is an advantage
- Familiar with bidding and tender protocols for Ship Repair is an advantage
- Good interpersonal, organizational and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Applicants without prior experience are welcomed to apply, but must be willing to go through training in a production or design role
Other Information:
- Location: Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided)
- 5 days work week
- Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
