Commercial Engineer Trainee - Ship Repairs (Gul)

About this role

Responsibilities:

  • Make accurate estimate tender bid to secure vessels for repair and conversion work
  • Source for subcontractors for specialised jobs and complex work
  • Prepare accurate and detailed invoicing to achieve desire margin
  • Liaise with Ship Repair Manager and Project Supervisor for preparation of invoice
  • Settlement of invoice of completed projects with attending Owner Representative
  • Assess, negotiate and settlement of subcontractor’s invoices

 

Requirements:

  • Possess Diploma or Degree in an Engineering field
  • Experience in subcontracting and major equipment procurement is an advantage
  • Familiar with bidding and tender protocols for Ship Repair is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Applicants without prior experience are welcomed to apply, but must be willing to go through training in a production or design role

 

Other Information:
 

  • Location: Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided)
  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm
