If so, we invite you to join our Ground Systems Infrastructure (GSI) team as a Senior Ground Systems Engineer based in Santiago, Chile.
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and improving SSC's ground station infrastructure, supporting customer-hosted systems, and ensuring reliable satellite operations for customers around the globe.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with RF systems and satellite ground station infrastructure (S, X, Ka, VHF, UHF).
- Experience working with antenna systems, RF equipment, fiber optics, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in operational environments.
- Basic networking and IT knowledge, including IP configuration, Ethernet infrastructure, and software upgrades.
- Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and related instrumentation.
- Ability to read, understand, and maintain technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance/documentation systems.
- Experience supporting hosted customer infrastructure.
- Knowledge of satellite communications architectures and protocols.
- Experience with systems integration, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience with automation or operational process improvements.
- Knowledge of control systems, mechanics, and infrastructure systems.
- Hands-on and technically driven.
- Comfortable working both in the office and in the field.

- Support the availability and operational continuity of satellite ground station infrastructure.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on antenna systems, RF equipment, facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex RF, antenna, networking, and infrastructure issues.
- Support hosted customer infrastructure and operational systems.
- Participate in incident response and restoration activities during service interruptions.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, technical documentation, and maintenance records.
- Analyze equipment failures and identify opportunities for reliability improvements.
- Support spare parts planning, inventory management, and equipment lifecycle activities.
- Assist with the integration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of new ground station infrastructure.
- Coordinate technical activities with Engineering, Operations, Network Management Centers (NMCs), contractors, vendors, and customers.
- Prepare maintenance, incident, outage, and infrastructure status reports.
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and operations.
- Participate in field activities, inspections, testing, and maintenance at SSC sites as required.

Location
This is a full-time position based in Santiago, Chile.
The role includes office and field work and requires occasional travel to SSC ground stations and customer sites.
Participation outside normal business hours may occasionally be required during operational incidents, maintenance windows, or other mission-critical activities.
