About this role

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed cabinet shop drawings and technical plans.

  • Convert concept designs into production-ready drawings.

  • Produce 3D models, exploded views, and assembly drawings.

  • Ensure accuracy in dimensions, materials, joinery, and hardware placement.

  • Design modular cabinet layouts for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and storage systems

  • Optimize cabinet configurations for space efficiency and functionality.

  • Develop standard cabinet modules and components.

  • Work with interior designers and architects to interpret design intent.

  • Coordinate with production teams and fabricators to ensure manufacturability.

  • Provide technical support during fabrication and installation.

  • Specify materials, laminates, finishes, and hardware.

  • Ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes and supplier standards.

  • Ensure cabinets integrate properly with walls, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems.

  • Ensure drawings follow company standards and industry practices.

  • Can understand how modular cabinets are structured and standardized.

  • Prepare bill of materials (BOM), cutting lists, and hardware schedules.

  • Convert concept designs, sketches, or client layouts into accurate CAD drawings.

  • Review and revise drawings based on client feedback or site measurements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design and or Architecture courses.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in cabinetry, furniture, or interior fit-out technical designs good working and technical knowledge around fit-out, cabinet making and furniture.

  • Proficient in any of this software, AutoCAD, Sketchup, REVIT, Lumion, Cabinet Vision and other computer-aided design and drafting software used in Cabinetry.

  • Knowledge in cabinet hardware mechanism and materials.

  • With background in Architecture, Interior Design or similar position.

  • Knowledgeable in making cutting list, cost estimates, bill of materials and similar tasks.

  • Must be willing to do fieldwork, site measurement or site inspection when needed.

  • Can read, understand and interpret construction shop drawings.

  • Knowledge of materials (plywood, MDF, laminates, solid wood, aluminum systems)

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
