Work in the production management job class requires managing employees and resources to achieve the completion of shop orders according to customer service level agreements. This includes a) hiring and training employees; b) organizing the production of work and ensuring the appropriate flow of inventory; c) adhering to quality and service standards; d) providing employees with the guidance, direction, leadership, and support necessary to ensure they can accomplish their goals; and e) solving problems as needed to ensure the business accomplishes its goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for the daily activities of Level 1 and Level 2 Operators. Impact of work is at team level.
• Demonstrates recognition of basic electronic components
• Opens/closes and interprets shop orders
• Identifies product contained in shop order
• Identifies physical location of material in sERP
• Understands and follows SOW
• Understands sERP system

Qualifications

• Able to speak, read, and understand the English language in verbal communication (bilingual in Spanish preferred)
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours or more
• Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and reach to work with equipment throughout an 8-hour shift
• Able to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
• Able to use hand tools (e.g., power drill, pliers, etc.)
• Able to work with exposure to mechanical and electrical currents
• Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Able to learn and apply new concepts
• Able to type data accurately and efficiently into a computer system
• Basic proficiency using a computer and MS Teams, Outlook, and internet search capabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience as a Level 2+ operator in a warehouse environment with an overall exceeds expectations performance rating
• Availability to work flexible hours and weekends
• Demonstrated computer proficiency (must pass a test)
