Toddler Teacher – Chesterbrook Academy
Teaching preschool at Chesterbrook Academy offers you the opportunity to create a purposeful and engaging learning experience for our youngest students. About the Role
As a Toddler Teacher at Chesterbrook Academy, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where toddlers can explore their environment and develop confidence, independence, and an enthusiasm for learning. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage emerging language, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills while maintaining consistent routines that help children feel secure and supported.

Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning activities for toddlers

Facilitate sensory exploration, music and movement, stories, art, outdoor play, and other hands-on experiences

Support the development of emerging language, mobility, coordination, independence, and positive social interactions

Provide attentive supervision during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, snacks, rest periods, and transitions

Assist with diapering, toileting readiness, handwashing, feeding, and other age-appropriate personal-care routines

Respond promptly and compassionately to each child’s physical and emotional needs

Maintain consistent classroom routines while remaining responsive to individual developmental needs

Create classroom resources and maintain a physical environment that supports safe exploration and learning

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom, including the regular cleaning of toys and learning materials
