About this role

About us

Soundtrack is a B2B scale-up company providing music streaming services for businesses. We serve small customers like the café around the corner, and much bigger brands like Joe & the Juice, Toni & Guy and TAG Heuer. On the inside, we're a bunch of talented, motivated and humble designers, engineers and music experts. We believe in product-led growth, where the product is the primary driver of customer acquisition, conversion and expansion.

The Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer (Go) to join the Revenue Engineering team at Soundtrack.

Revenue Engineering is responsible for the systems that power subscriptions, billing, pricing, product packaging and other core business functions. The team owns business-critical backend services and APIs that are relied upon by Product, Finance, Analytics and other parts of the organization. The team is also responsible for our back-office system and other internal tooling, where customer-facing teams manage accounts, subscriptions and more.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll work on a wide range of initiatives, from evolving our core platform and APIs to supporting new product capabilities and improving system reliability. You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, frontend developers and product stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions that support Soundtrack's continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain backend services using Go

  • Develop and evolve APIs that power core product and business functionality

  • Build solutions related to subscriptions, billing, pricing, products and add-ons

  • Improve, evolve and replace existing services and systems when needed

  • Ensure our systems remain reliable, scalable, testable and cost-efficient

  • Participate in architectural discussions and technical design decisions

  • Work on data migrations and changes to business-critical systems

  • Collaborate closely with frontend engineers and other stakeholders across the business

  • Contribute to code reviews, testing practices and engineering best practices

  • Share knowledge and help strengthen the team as a whole

About You

Just like us, you love music. You're driven and entrepreneurial, but you know how to be a team player too. Regardless of roles, we're always looking to work with people who can adapt to constant change, prioritise what's important, stay humble, open, curious and with a passion for details.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, driving initiatives forward and working in an environment where quality and reliability matter more than moving fast. You are proactive, collaborative and comfortable navigating complex technical challenges together with your teammates.
