Quality Inspector

Position Summary
As an Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of manufactured products. You will inspect and evaluate components and assemblies throughout the production process to confirm they meet established specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, a working understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. This is an entry-level role that serves as a foundation for career growth within manufacturing and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection and Quality Control
• Conduct visual inspections on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
Documentation and Reporting
• Record inspection data and maintain accurate documentation of quality control checks.
• Report deviations or defects discovered during inspections to supervisors or relevant personnel in a timely manner.
Adherence to Procedures
• Follow established manufacturing and assembly procedures to ensure consistency and uniformity in product quality.
• Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of quality standards and inspection techniques.
Collaboration
• Work closely with production and assembly teams to address quality issues and provide timely feedback for corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a collaborative and proactive work environment.
Continuous Improvement
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement plans.
Safety Compliance
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.
Equipment Maintenance
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable measurements.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects.
• Familiarity with measurement tools and quality control procedures.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing processes and procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
• Additional technical education or certification in quality, inspection, or manufacturing.
Work Environment
This is a production floor-based role. The Inspector will spend the majority of the workday on the shop floor performing hands-on inspection activities, standing for extended periods and handling components and finished assemblies. Close coordination with production and assembly personnel is required.
