Overview

The Program Coordinator supports the overall operation, quality, and effectiveness of the school program by coordinating educational, behavioral, clinical, and administrative services for students. This position works collaboratively with school leadership, clinical staff, teachers, families, and external providers to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic learning environment that promotes student growth, academic progress, and successful behavioral outcomes.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Program and Student Services Coordination

  • Coordinate daily operations of the therapeutic day school program to ensure continuity of services and adherence to program goals.

  • Support implementation of the school’s educational, behavioral, and therapeutic programming.

  • Monitor program activities to ensure alignment with student individualized needs, treatment goals, and educational plans.

  • Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and trauma-informed school environment.

  • Collaborate with teachers, clinicians, behavior specialists, related service providers, and

    administrators to support student success.

  • Coordinate services for students with IEP’s, behavior intervention plans, safety plans,

    and therapeutic support needs.

  • Support scheduling of meetings with families, districts, and other stakeholders when

    needed

  • Assist families in accessing school-based or community-based resources when needed.

    Family and Community Collaboration

  • Support scheduling of meetings with families, districts, and other stakeholders as needed

  • Assist families in accessing school-based or community-based resources when

    appropriate.

    Staff Collaboration and Training

• Support onboarding and ongoing training of staff related to therapeutic programming, student supports, behavior management, and crisis response.

  • Reinforce the use of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relationship-based practices.

  • Assist leadership in promoting effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Provide coaching or coordination support to staff implementing individualized student interventions.

    Educational Support

  • Assist with facilitating and scheduling student assessments

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers and paraprofessionals on appropriate

    instructional practices in conjunction with Associate Director

  • Collaborate with Associate Director on curriculum implementation

  • Assist with reviewing Behavior Event Reports

    Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential student and program documentation in accordance with school, district, state, and federal requirements.

  • Support compliance with special education regulations, licensing standards, safety protocols, and agency policies.

  • Assist with preparation for audits, monitoring visits, and program reviews.

  • Compile and track data related to student outcomes, incidents, attendance, and other

    program indicators.

    Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, recordkeeping, and other operational tasks necessary to support the program.

  • Prepare reports, summaries, and correspondence as needed.

  • Support leadership with program planning, quality improvement initiatives, and problem-

    solving efforts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operation of the therapeutic

    day school.


Qualifications

  1. Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, social work, special education, or a related field required.

Experience/Knowledge

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children or adolescents with emotional, behavioral, social, and/or mental health needs preferred

  • Experience in a school, therapeutic school, special education, behavioral health, or residential treatment setting preferred.

  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary services and working with families and community providers preferred.

  • Understanding of special education processes, IEP implementation, and student support planning preferred.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Skill in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with

    professionalism.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and/or student information and

    documentation systems.

Posted Salary Range

USD $63,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
