Digital Trading Specialist – UK

Location: Support Office, Central London

As a Digital Trading Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the trading performance, onsite execution, and customer journey optimisation of the UK & App digital channels. You'll play a critical role in delivering both sales and customer goals, through effective campaign management, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous data-led optimisation.

This is a commercially focused role that requires attention to detail, analytical strength, and a proactive mindset. Working cross functionally, you’ll ensure the site is trading effectively and evolving based on performance insights.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Trading & Performance

  • Accountable for day-to-day trading performance across UK/App, aligned to commercial, web and, customer KPIs

  • Support the Digital Trading Lead in weekly trade and period reviews, analysing performance of key metrics vs budget and offering insights on promotional deep-dives.

  • Work with Category teams to maximise brand performance & product launches

  • Partner with Web Analytics & Insights Specialist to interpret KPIs (Conversion, ATV, Demand, Abandonment etc) and action insights from learnings. Also action recommendations from customer journey and web funnel insights

  • Set and own channel / territory KPI setting as part of budget planning process

Promotion & Campaign Execution

· Own trading calendar activity for UK/App market and ensure all activity aligns to key KPIs

· Oversee the execution of promotions with the support of the Digital Trading Assistant and ensuring set up and execution is aligned to key KPIs.

· Collaborate with Marketing and Category teams to create effective landing pages with key product and brand callouts, using key customer journey insights.

· Conduct post-promo analysis (in collaboration with Web Analytics) to inform future planning.

· Ensure pro-active management of site updates for pre, during and post promo phases.

Onsite Optimisation & Experience

· Own the strategy and delivery of onsite content: navigation, burger menu, category pages, offers, service banners, content slots, and merchandising PLPs

· With the support of the Digital Trading Assistant optimise site search, product placement, and customer journeys based on behavioural data.

· Manage cross-category pages (e.g. New In, Travel, Gifts, Bestsellers) and support execution of campaigns and launches, using customer journey insights and competitor analysis to improve customer journeys and conversion.

· Manage and offer improvements based on insights to customer experience enhancements (e.g. Bazaarvoice, MyMatches, NDulge)

Service & Delivery Proposition

  • Drive strategy and improvements in customer propositions e.g. delivery messaging, reassurance content, free delivery thresholds, and service features for UK/App

  • Liaise with Customer Service for issue resolution and continuous improvement of the onsite experience.

  • Manage onsite features like store locator, gift cards/e-gift, gift wrap, etc., to ensure accuracy, consistency and usability.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in a digital trading, eCommerce merchandising or online retail role

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate insights into action.

  • Proficient with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Contentsquare, Qliksense)

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, trading-led environment with changing priorities.
