Registered Nurse (ACT Team)

About this role

Provides nursing services to members on our Assertive Community Treatment Team. Services include engagement, assessment, triage, treatment planning, medication administration, health and medication education, physical healthcare advocacy, and supportive care. Participates in utilization management and quality improvement activities as required. 

REQUIREMENTS

Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor of science degree in nursing from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Current R.N. license issued by Arizona Board of Nursing
  • Minimum one (1) year prior psychiatric/behavioral health experience with seriously mentally ill adults required; previous experience working on an ACT team or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must maintain current CPR, First Aid, and Therapeutic Options certifications (offered through Southwest Network)
  • Must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license and car insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams use a multidisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive, community-based treatment to our members with persistent and severe mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. Team members provide a full array of integrated, intensive supports and services around the clock. This evidence-based practice helps improve outcomes for people who are most at-risk of homelessness, psychiatric hospitalization, and institutional recidivism.
