Condition Based Maintenance Specialist | Plant Barry
Job Summary
This position is responsible for using predictive maintenance technologies to determine the condition of plant equipment and recommending the course of action to take on machinery repair/replacement. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing performance data, documenting results in Maximo, and communicating results with plant team leaders, system owners, and planners.
Job Responsibilities
-Complete all requirements to obtain and maintain CBM Certification in accordance with Southern Company Generation Standards
-Periodically evaluate equipment performance by collecting and analyzing data in each of the following predictive maintenance technologies: infrared thermography, electric motor circuit analysis, vibration, and oil analysis
-Integrate CBM technologies, performance data, operator rounds data, PM results and work order history to evaluate and diagnose maintenance needs
-Effectively utilize Maximo to communicate, maintain, and review CBM examinations and maintenance recommendations
-Guide maintenance strategy and provide operational guidance in the expertise area
-Communicate with plant management, corporate management, and peer groups concerning operation, maintenance repairs, replacement, modifications, improvements and schedules
-Research to stay informed of latest CBM technology developments; participate in CBM user groups, and communicate with other CBM personnel to share information and expertise
Job Experience and Education
-Two-year technical degree preferred
-Two years of prior maintenance, operations, or similar experience in a plant environment required
-Knowledge of power plant fundamentals, maintenance, and operations
-Proficient in computer usage and Maximo
-Ability to work with a wide range of electronic field equipment and tools
-Knowledge or experience in any of the CBM technologies is a plus
