About this role
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) Integrated manages medications, screens medical issues, and promotes health in a Tier IV BHUC, engaging beneficiaries in whole-person care for mental health and substance abuse crises.
details: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am; 3-twelve hour shifts each week
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages meds with providers; administers/documents treatments; screens/monitors side effects (AIMS, nursing assessments).
- Builds rapport; engages in health promotion/prevention/education; develops med adherence strategies.
- Coordinates with providers; educates team on symptoms/side effects.
- Directs/supervises LPNs; supports triage/medical screenings (vitals, emergencies).
- Documents billable encounters in EMR within 24 hours.
- Other duties: supports IVC, discharge planning, follow-ups.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may oversee LPN staff.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Must possess minimum of Associate’s in Nursing with 1 year experience with serious mental illness.
- Valid NC/Compact Nursing License
- Driver's license/insurance.
