We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Shop Laborer & Delivery Driver based out of Saint John, NB.
This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys a variety of responsibilities, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organized workplace, and is committed to delivering excellent service throughout the Maritime provinces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint repaired equipment and components within the shop.
- Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance throughout the warehouse and shop as required.
- Complete pickups and deliveries throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island using company pickup trucks and 5-ton flatbed trucks.
- Safely load, unload, and secure materials and equipment for transportation.
- Maintain inventory levels of shop and office consumables and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Ensure company vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and presented professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support our 24/7 operation, including working overtime when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- A satisfactory driver's abstract (required as part of the hiring process).
- Working knowledge of an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- The physical ability to perform manual labor and handle materials safely.
The following would be considered assets:
- Previous industrial painting experience.
- Experience operating flatbed trucks and securing loads.
