About this role
Senior Technical Test Analyst
As a Senior Technical Test Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high‑quality solutions are delivered across challenging and meaningful programmes within our Aerospace, Defence and Security business.
You’ll bring enhanced coordination, strong analytical thinking and deep testing expertise, working across functional and non‑functional testing. You may be embedded within a managed testing service or supporting a development project, but in all cases you’ll be trusted to guide best practice, support others and help drive quality outcomes.
This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Hemel Hempstead, with an expectation of being on site 3 to 4 days per week.
What you’ll be doing:
- Contributing to Test Plan and Test Approach documents in line with the overall Test Strategy.
- Analysing requirements and solution design artefacts and deriving clear, in‑depth test cases with expected results.
- Coordinating closely with Development and Engineering teams to support delivery across all test levels.
- Managing test cases, defects and execution using agreed test management toolsets.
- Creating and managing test data, environments and prerequisites for complex testing scenarios.
- Producing test metrics, supporting defect resolution and escalating risks that may impact quality or delivery.
What you’ll bring:
- A strong technical testing background with experience across system and integration testing.
- Good understanding of technologies such as Active Directory Forests, SQL, ITSM toolsets and software monitoring tools.
- Experience testing integrations between complex systems.
- The ability to analyse complex requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
- A proactive, outcome‑driven approach with strong critical thinking skills.
- Confidence mentoring others and sharing testing best practice within a team.
It would be great if you had:
- ISTQB Advanced Test or Technical Test Analyst certification.
- PRINCE2 Foundation certification.
- Experience using common test automation tools.
- Familiarity with Secure by Design principles.
