We're looking for an Information Security Analyst to join NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS), playing a critical role in safeguarding the technology, systems and data that support NHS organisations across the UK.

Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking security team, you'll investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, enhance security controls and help shape the future of our cyber security capability.
Hybrid with occasional meetings in Leeds OR Southampton.
You must be eligible for SC Clearance.
What you'll be doing:
- Protect critical infrastructure, networks, systems and data from evolving cyber threats.
- Monitor security tools and platforms to identify suspicious activity and potential attacks.
- Investigate security incidents, alerts and potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and drive remediation activities.
- Manage and monitor Identity & Access Management (IAM) controls, identifying inappropriate access or privilege misuse.
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive improvements to strengthen our security posture.
- Evaluate and implement new security technologies and solutions.
- Produce insightful reports and security updates for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support internal and external security audits.
- Respond to phishing campaigns and social engineering threats.
What you'll bring:
- We're looking for someone with a strong technical background, a security-first mindset and a passion for staying ahead of the threat landscape.
- Previous experience in an Information Security Analyst or similar cyber security role.
- Strong infrastructure, networking and system security knowledge.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools, IDS technologies and SIEM platforms.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework and/or PCI DSS.
- Experience investigating and responding to cyber security incidents.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid with occasional travel to Leeds OR Southampton.
Security Clearance Level: Eligible for SC Clearance.
