Admin Assistant

We're looking for Admin Assistants to join our busy and supportive team in Newport on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll help deliver recruitment administration services for major public sector clients, supporting the journey from vacancy approval through to candidate offer.
You'll be joining a close-knit team with a genuine family feel. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative and high-volume, but you'll be supported every step of the way with structured training, clear processes and colleagues who work closely together to achieve shared goals.

This is a hybrid role, with office attendance required in Newport every Monday and Tuesday. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We offer flexibility around working hours, with core hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm, although 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm can also be accommodated.
What you will be doing:
- Processing recruitment-related administration activities in line with established procedures and service level agreements.
- Checking vacancy and advert information for accuracy, compliance and quality before publication.
- Managing and responding to queries received through shared mailboxes in a professional and timely manner.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support recruitment campaigns.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating information across a range of systems and databases.
- Supporting the team with additional administrative tasks and continuous improvement activities.
What you'll bring:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Confidence working within structured processes and following procedures consistently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise changing workloads.
- A collaborative approach and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
- IT literacy, including experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
It would be great if you had:
- Previous experience in an administrative, recruitment administration or customer service environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operational setting.
- Familiarity with recruitment or applicant tracking systems.
