The Assistant Manager, Marketing is responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies that drive audience engagement, streaming growth, and commercial success for artists and music releases. This role works closely with artists, artist management team, digital team, media partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver effective marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, media, and consumer touchpoints. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about music, highly creative, data-driven, and experienced in developing integrated marketing campaigns within the music, entertainment, media, or related industries 

 

What you will do:

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for local and international artists, releases, and projects. 
  • Lead end-to-end campaign management from pre-release planning through post-release performance evaluation. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional marketing activities involving Digital, Artist Management, and Promotion teams. 
  • Identify innovative opportunities to increase artist awareness, audience engagement, and music consumption. 
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize strategies to achieve business objectives. 

Digital & Social Media Marketing 

  • Create and implement social media strategies across platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms. 
  • Collaborate with content creators, influencers, and digital partners to maximize audience reach and engagement. 
  • Develop short-form content strategies to support artist promotion and catalogue activation. 
  • Manage content calendars and social media campaign execution. 
  • Support playlist pitching strategies and platform marketing opportunities. 
  • Lead or divert streaming consumption and audience growth through targeted marketing initiatives. 
  • Monitor platform trends and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness. 

Artist & Project Management 

  • Serve as a key marketing contact for assigned artists and projects. 
  • Collaborate with artists, artist managers, and external partners to align marketing objectives and campaign priorities. 
  • Coordinate release schedules, promotional activities, and campaign deliverables. 

Analytics & Reporting 

  • Analyze streaming, social media, audience, and campaign performance data. 
  • Generate regular campaign reports and actionable insights. 
  • Utilize data analytics to inform marketing decisions and optimize ROI. 
  • Track KPIs, including streaming growth, audience engagement, follower acquisition, content performance, and revenue contribution. 

Budget Management 

  • Manage campaign budgets and ensure effective allocation of marketing resources. 
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure campaigns are delivered within approved budgets. 
  • Evaluate marketing investments and overall campaign effectiveness. 

 

Who you are:

  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in the music industry.  Bachelor of Communication degree. 
  • Preferably Bilingual (in both Chinese & English). 
  • Good sense to follow market trend, create content which Gen Z will like. 
  • Open-minded; avid music fan across all genres.  
  • Possesses video shooting and editing skills. Solid experiences in creating engaging contents. 
  • Tech savvy in Content development especially short form videos. Use Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign and other graphic design software to design. 
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere. 
  • You are a creative, innovative, results-oriented professional 
  • An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners 
  • Strong desire to make a difference and contribute to successful outcomes. 
  • A proactive self-starter. A collaborative team player, able to form good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
