Head of Communications
About this role
Own and drive Solx's global narrative through transparent, informative storytelling — corporate, product, executive, and employee communications, media and analyst relations, and social. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll tell the story of American reindustrialization at giga scale to the world.
What you'll do
- Own Solx's global narrative and voice — building the story of a next-generation, AI-driven manufacturing company reshoring one of the world's most strategic supply chains.
- Lead corporate communications strategy and execution across product, executive, and employee communications.
- Run media relations end to end — building relationships with journalists and landing earned media in top-tier business, energy, technology, and trade press.
- Own social media strategy and the company's owned channels.
- Lead executive communications and thought leadership for the CEO and leadership team.
- Manage analyst relations and shape how the industry understands Solx.
- Build and scale internal and employee communications as the company grows.
- Own issues and crisis communications, and protect and strengthen the brand.
- Partner closely with leadership on messaging, positioning, launches, and milestones.
What you bring
- A very senior communications leader (15+ years) with a track record building narrative and reputation for a high-growth or high-stakes company.
- Experience in energy, defense, or deep tech strongly preferred.
- Proven media relations results — you have relationships with top-tier reporters and a portfolio of earned media that moved the needle.
- Exceptional writer and storyteller who can translate complex industrial and technical work into a clear, compelling narrative.
- Depth across executive communications, analyst relations, social strategy, and internal comms.
- Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving, build-focused environment, reporting directly to the CEO.
- Spanish a plus.
- Hybrid remote.
