Job Description

Key Responsibilities.

  • Preparation of precision tools and dies for stamping operations 
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools
  • Conducting changeovers on stamping presses
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot quality and tool breakdown issues 
  • Prepare and maintain precision spare parts using Tool room machinery
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve Tooling performance
  • Setup and perform Preventive Maintenance on Tools, Jigs and fixtures
  • Operate Tool room machines like Surface Grinding, Lathe, Drilling, and CNC milling to prepare tooling spare part, jigs and fixtures 
  • Highly skilled in machining complex profiles & maintaining micron level precision on tools.
  • Perform change overs on stamping press lines following the production plan
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Set up and perform regular maintenance on Toolroom machines to keep them in good condition.
  • Regular/Periodic Planning, Audit and Maintain tooling records for tool maintenance
  • Analyze root cause of the problem and trouble shoot quality and tooling down time related issues in stamping press lines to ensure production targets are met
  • Maintain healthy level of tooling spare parts to meet Production demand
  • Support Tool engineers in NPI builds and Engineering builds
  • Follow standard procedures and improve FMEA, Control plan, WI (SOS) and Set up sheets etc.
  • Initiate and carryout Continuous improvement for improving process capability and OEE
  • Able to work in rotating day and night shift and work independently with least supervision

 

What you have:

  • Knowledge and experience of press tools, jigs, fixtures manufacturing and maintenance. Transfer die experience is preferred.
  • Able to operate basic tool room machines like grinding, milling & lathe etc
  • Able to read and write engineering drawings
  • Able to work under pressure in rotating shifts
