About this role
- Provides
excellent customer service to all guests and staff.
- The
Security position will be charged with protecting Solaire premises and
facilities. To ensure that unauthorized personnel is prevented from entering
the Hotel and Casino. To provide a safe environment for Solaire Resort and
Casino guests and Team Members.
- To
inform the Security Officers of any concerns regarding Solaire Hotel and Casino
premises.
- To
screen/control and record all those entering the premises and ensure that
Solaire is harm-free.
- Ensures
the safety and well-being of guests and Team Members.
- Gives
directions and provides escort to customers in need.
- Assists
law enforcement authorities, including testimony in criminal and administrative
proceedings as necessary.
- Provides
escorts of money and persons in money-handling positions.
- Provides
first aid when necessary.
- Patrols
the surroundings of the facility for any unusual situation or condition that
can be inimical to its security and safety and take appropriate actions as
required.
- Report
and document all relevant incidents in accordance with Solaire’s Security
policy.
- Report
and assist with the turnover of lost and found items within the vicinity of
Solaire.
- Makes
necessary reports, including detailed descriptions of people and incidents.
- Enforces
Solaire Resort and Casino policies and procedures and emergency procedures.
- Meets
attendance guidelines of the position and adheres to regulatory and
departmental policies and procedures.
- Controls
and records incoming and outgoing company property.
- Controls
and records all vehicles entering the facility.
- Controls
Pedestrian traffic and oversight of parking spaces
- Warn
persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators
from premises, using force when necessary.
- Operate detecting devices to screen
individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted
areas.
- Escort or drive a motor vehicle to transport
individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Criminology or any related course.
- Possess a Security guard license
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift
- Must present a well-groomed appearance
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when
handling customer and employee conflicts
- Must possess the ability to interact professionally with the general
public
- Effectively conveys appropriate thoughts in a positive and respectful
manner
- Must be able to take personal responsibility for resolving customer
issues brought to one’s attention.
