Overview
Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to cut, shape, and form parts and articles from various materials to make a complete product according to customer specifications. Starts out at $23.75/hr, attendance incentive and $2 shift differential. Hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday..
Responsibilities
- Skilled use of drill presses, lathe’s, mills, laser and other Industrial Machine shop equipment
- Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications
- Marking and cutting lines on material
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
- Ensure that quality control standards are met
- Troubleshoot and stress test products to minimize problems or recalls
- Report and detail product malfunctions
- Conduct equipment preventive maintenance and change overs, as needed
- Adhere to safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness and neatness.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner.
- Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and be a self starter.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the day.
- Must be able to work as a team player.
- Must align with the Snap-on mission statement
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
