About this role
Base Wage: $52.31 per hour. Additional premiums apply.
Location: Tumbler Ridge, BC
Schedule: 14x14 (days and nights)
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild electrical components on mining equipment, including haul trucks and shovels.
- Install, commission, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with industry standards and site requirements.
- Support customers and trades personnel in resolving equipment-related electrical issues.
- Perform equipment assembly, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Conduct component failure analysis to identify root causes and improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Complete work safely and in compliance with company policies, site procedures, and applicable regulations.
What You Bring:
- Thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Trucks and other mining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings, as well as electrical code specifications.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Proven commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
