Technical Officer, Inspection
About this role
Job Purpose
The Technical Officer, Inspection is to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) track inspection in accordance with work instructions.
- Identify and categories the defects found with references provided.
- All tracks, tunnels and the associated peripherals shall be effectively and efficiently inspected to provide a safe and reliable journey for our commuters.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the MRT tracks, third rails, tunnels, and the associated peripherals in accordance with work instructions
- Walk approximately 5km of tracks during inspection.
- Carry out the day-to-day inspection and administration activities of Pway Patrolling department.
- Support cross functional teams as and when required.
- Ensure that the latest version of work instructions/procedures are used.
- Meet the set KPIs and maintain high level of productivity and quality.
- Attend daily Toolbox briefing conducted by Person-In-Charge or Possession Master.
- Subjected to regular safety inspection/audit at worksites to ensure compliance to safety procedures.
- Carry out work / job / task as per assigned by the AE/STO/Detailer.
- Carry-out the role of Person-in-charge or Possession master duties and responsibilities.
- Able to work in team and ensure the safety and care of fellow teammates.
- To ensure proper conduct and behavior when carrying out inspection works.
Qualifications & Work Experience

NITEC / NTC 3 / Higher NITEC in the following discipline:
Rapid Transit / Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Microelectronic / Marine / Robotics.
Skills
- Basic proficiency in MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint.
- A good team player.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Positive attitude and open to learning on-the-job.
- Must be prepared to perform permanent night shift
