About this role

Job Purpose
The candidate will be responsible for performing Basis, System, and Cloud administration functions to ensure all environments remain stable and secure, including monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SAP system performance, reviewing system logs to identify issues, and maintaining and configuring the full GRC toolset (Risk Analysis and Remediation, Fire Fighter, Role Expert, and Access Enforcer.
Responsibilities
The Systems Specialist duties and responsibilities include:
Basis & Cloud Administration Tasks
- Apply support packages, patches, fixes, and perform SAP installations, upgrades, and system parameter changes.
- Administer and maintain HANA databases, including patching, upgrading, and performance tuning.
- Monitor SAP systems proactively to ensure stability, security, and minimal downtime; perform health checks and tuning improvements.
- Manage SAP system security, including access control, SSO, roles, and license monitoring; maintain multi-landscape environments and transport management.
- Administer SuccessFactors, Concur, Workforce Software, and SAP BTP (including provisioning tenants, migration assessments, and API key generation); ensure proper documentation.
- Any other tasks assigned by the managers.
GRC / Security Tasks
- Develop and maintain SOD rule sets, mitigation controls, and Firefighter access procedures in collaboration with Audit and Business teams.
- Configure and support GRC Access Control modules (ARA, ARM, EAM, BRM), manage periodic User Access Reviews (UAR), and update SOPs and documentation.
- Design, create, and maintain SAP security roles, including position-based models and structural authorizations, ensuring compliance with business processes.
- Perform risk analysis, review GRC/SOD reports, identify critical transactions and authorization objects, and monitor assignments; use SM19 and SM20 for audit activities.
- Provide end-user technical support, manage change control processes, and ensure security compliance across SAP environments.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with 6–8 years of experience in SAP ECC 6.0 / S4 HANA administration, upgrades, and support in an enterprise environment.
- Strong SAP Basis expertise, including installation, upgrade, backup/recovery, high availability, and cloud replication.
- Hands-on experience in system monitoring, performance tuning, and security compliance with audit requirements.
- Ability to work as a Technical Architect, research and implement new technologies, and manage SAP security (internal and external).
- Self-driven, proactive individual with strong initiative, good attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing escalations.
Skills
- Expert knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 / S4 HANA, including OS/DB migration, installations, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience in SAP security design and configuration (Profile Generator), GRC Access Control, and compliance with audit requirements.
- Proficiency in SAP integration technologies (PI/Integration Suite), connectivity frameworks, adapters (File/FTP, HTTP, IDoc, JDBC, SOAP, RFC), and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP administration, Cloud transport management (CTMS+), Cloud ALM, SSL certificate processes, and SAP IAS/IPS tasks.
- Knowledge of SAP RISE, S4 HANA migrations, ePortal, workflow configuration, and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and emerging SAP tools (Signavio, LeanIX, Joule).
