Job Purpose

 

The jobholder is required to plan the material requirement to support Trains operation and will be responsible for developing and execute material planning strategies, cost optimization and strategic sourcing management. He/ She shall collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to build provisioning strategies in line with corporate objectives. He/ She will establish, monitor, and be responsible for the meeting of performance metric identified.

Responsibilities

 

The responsibilities included but not limited to:

a.    Formulate, execute, and track material planning to meet material requirement for Trains operations.
b.    Work with Procurement Office to establish price competitive and sustainable framework agreement to ensure material availability.
c.    Ensure timely contract renewal of purchase contract/ agreements, fulfilment of material requisition, resolving of suppliers and non-supplier receipt discrepancies to ensure successful good receipt.
d.    Perform price assessment and evaluation of quotations and tender received., working closely with the buyers and users in the evaluation and assessment of quotation received
e.    Required to set up Purchase Contracts and Agreements for long-term supply of materials, deliver strategic solutions and coordinate approach with key users and buyers to ensure material needs are addressed while fostering a customer-centric approach to solving issues.
f.    Develop sustainable sourcing and provisioning solutions while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
g.    In project acquisition, to perform the Initial spares sizing (range and depth), provisioning and acquisition of spares and related supplies (e.g. support and test equipment, tools etc) in support of the acquired system
h.    Ensures that material master data are coded, loaded and configured to meet the supply and maintenance business processes.
i.    Conduct analysis of inventory profile to perform financial and inventory assessment.
j.    Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Work Experience

 

At least a Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience.

  •    Familiar with SAP, Maximo, or equivalent Management Information Systems.
