- Operate and inspect the saw daily to ensure safe operation.
- Read blueprints and Bills of Material (BOMs) to cut materials to the required specifications.
- Measure and cut material accurately using a tape measure.
- Replace saw blades and maintain coolant and water levels as needed.
- Label cut materials and drop material with the appropriate information.
- Cut material for the Vessel Shop and Tank Shop.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and required production documentation.
- Communicate effectively with shop supervisors, leads, and production teams.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work weekends as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or saw operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
