Position Scope & Purpose

Responsible for maintaining the Stores & Warehouse and to facilitate development and implementation of good stratergy to support Organisation growth plan.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions

  1. Oversee and actively participate in daily warehouse operations while ensuring strict compliance with company policies, vision, and safety guidelines.
  1. Devise and employ fruitful material sourcing strategies to meet operational requirements.
  1. Design layouts, optimize space utilization, and recommend tool/equipment modifications to enhance workflow productivity.
  1. Organize, maintain, and secure all inventory storage areas using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices to ensure proper stock rotation.
  1. Manage the receipt, identification, quality assurance, and dispersal of all materials entering or leaving the warehouse.
  1. Assist storekeepers directly with daily material handling, loading, assembly, and dispatch tasks.
  1. Conduct physical periodic inventory audits and participate in monthly reconciliations to resolve stock differences.
  1. Execute Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory planning to maintain minimal stock levels and optimize inventory turnover.
  1. Monitor stock levels and initiate stock replenishment requests in a timely manner.
  1. Track import consignments and manage documentation processes for customs clearance, unloading, accounting, and bonding.
  1. Work closely with suppliers and logistics service providers to ensure materials arrive on time to support JIT schedules.
  1. Liaise with internal staff to anticipate schedule changes and make necessary delivery adjustments.
  1. Execute daily store transactions and generate operational reports using SAP software.
  1. Prepare, review, and ensure the thoroughness and completeness of all warehouse and shipping documentation.
  1. Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to ensure full audit readiness at all times.
  1. Work closely with Finance on vendor bill payments and support audit functions regarding warehouse documentation.
  1. Prepare and submit monthly MIS statements pertaining to inventory declarations and stock valuations.
  1. Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to achieve productivity targets and high customer satisfaction.
  1. Brief warehouse staff on daily material handling, loading, and assembly details to ensure on-time delivery.
  1. Measure, analyze, and report on warehousing activity effectiveness, functional metrics, and employee performance.
  1. Lead and undertake Kaizen continuous improvement projects to establish world-class warehouse practices.
  1. Analyze operational data to track key metrics, reduce expenses, anticipate unfavorable events, and implement control strategies.
  1. Enforce all company rules, safety protocols, statutory compliance, and operational regulations across all shifts.
  1. Safely operate equipment including computers, material handling trolleys, packaging equipment, weighing scales, and forklifts.

Other Position Duties

  1. Good documentation skills to maintain the relevant documents up to date for audits.
  2. Forklift Operation as and when required.

Technical/Functional Skill Sets

  1. Having valid License to operate forklift for movement of the Heavy items will be preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in Stores/Warehouse department in manufacturing environment and related field.
  3. MS Excel, ERP software (preferably SAP) operations and report generation would be added advantage.

Personal Qualities/Characteristics required for the position

  1. Hard Working & keen on taking additional duty and punctual, can work in shifts and completes the given targets in time which help others depts to function smoothly.
  2. Able to work in rotational shifts.
