Printer Operator
About this role
We are currently looking for a Digital Printing Operator to join our team.
Position includes utilizing large/wide format and roll-to-roll digital printers, UV Coating machine and digital cutters, laminators, as well as keeping machines maintained. Knowledge of Fiery and Mercury RIP software is not necessary, but a definite plus. Experience in the sign-making or digital printing fields is preferred! Fabrication and assembly ability is a plus. This position is not a graphic design specific position, but knowledge of graphic design principles and techniques are helpful.
Job Description
- Perform minor repairs and routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot any printer issues that arise.
- Will replace ink, paper, toner, labels, and additional printing materials as needed.
- Efficiently Multi-task, Organized, Detailed-Oriented, Self-Starter
- Willingness to learn
- Work experience in the sign industry a plus.
- Responsible for ensuring that all needed supplies are fully stocked.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy in paperwork with a focus on safety and quality.
- Assist with inventory counts on a monthly basis
Skills
- Must be dependable, reliable and trustworthy
- Communicate clearly and effectively between management and other departments
- Knowledge of color theory and processing colors for print graphics is a plus
- Knowledge of Fiery XF and Mercury RIP software a plus
- Basic knowledge of computer use
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Multitasking and fulfilling print orders in an organized, timely fashion is critical
Education
- High School Degree or GED; Associates in Commercial Art, Design or Printing preferred.
This position is full-time.
8:00AM - 4:30PM Monday thru Friday
