About this role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Tester to join our QA team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through a combination of manual and automated testing strategies. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, promoting best practices and testing standards.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Analyze requirements and technical documentation to create accurate test scenarios.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Report on testing progress, defect metrics, and overall product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP) using Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#).
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Confluence, TestRail).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB Advanced Level certification (CTAL or equivalent).
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
- Knowledge of mobile testing using Appium or XCUITest.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of security testing and OWASP principles.
- Experience with database testing and SQL queries.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG standards).
