Due to our growing pipeline of interesting and challenging projects, we are looking for an experienced Senior or Associate level Civil Engineer with 7+ years to join our thriving Wollongong team.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the civil components of renewables, waste and recycling, residential development and mining projects. You will collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines, including Geotechnics, Transport Advisory, Planning and Approvals, Hydrology & Hydrogeology, and Environmental Specialist Services, supporting both national and international projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Deliver civil engineering solutions across renewables, waste and recycling, mining, infrastructure, power and energy, and built environment projects.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead civil design and documentation activities, including earthworks, roads, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure.

  • Project Management: Support program development, tender management, contract administration, and site supervision activities.

  • Client Relationships: Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while delivering high-quality project outcomes.

  • Team Development: Mentor and support junior engineers and consultants through coaching and technical guidance.

  • Business Growth: Contribute to proposal preparation, work-winning activities and the continued growth of the Wollongong team.

  • Continuous Improvement: Challenge established approaches and identify opportunities to improve project delivery and technical outcomes.


What we're looking for:

Outside of wanting to join a collaborative and high-performing team, the successful candidate will bring:

  • Qualifications: Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, and at least 7 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Project Experience: Demonstrated experience delivering multidisciplinary projects from concept design through to construction.

  • Technical Capability: Strong civil design experience across earthworks, roads, drainage, water and sewer infrastructure.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop strong client and stakeholder relationships.

  • Professional Registration: Registered Professional Engineer (NSW DBP Scheme) is highly desirable.

  • Additional Expertise: Experience in civil structures designs and/or CPESC accreditation is highly desirable.

  • Work Rights: Current unrestricted right to work in Australia.
