Casa de Perrin, a luxury tableware rental company, is looking for reliable freelance, on-call Delivery & Scullery Representatives to work events!

We are based in Los Angeles and are looking for candidates to work events not only in Los Angeles, but also throughout California, and at times out of state/country. You will be responsible for the delivery and pick-up of rental orders for events as well as receiving, clearing and repacking the rentals (a.k.a. scullery) during the events. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has a flexible schedule and is looking for a lucrative supplemental income!

We can work around school and other job schedules with advance notice. Working hours and days vary. This is an ON-CALL/EVENT-BASED POSITION.

*Please note that this is not a catering or banquet serving position as you would be working back of house and not guest-facing.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Safely transporting rentals to and from the company warehouse and event venue via company vans, Uhauls, and at times box trucks depending on order size
• Loading/unloading vehicles at company warehouse and event venue
• Dollying crates of tabletop rentals (i.e. dinnerware, glassware, etc.) from vehicle to warehouse/event space
• Lifting, carrying, and moving up to 55lbs of rental inventory
• Clearing food/liquid from rentals as they are bussed back from catering staff during scullery
• Repacking tabletop rentals (ie. dinnerware, glassware, etc.) per company guidelines during the event for safe transport
• Effective communication with luxury clients and event staff to successfully fulfill delivery/scullery service

Requirements:

• Must be reliable & have a flexible schedule.
• Most events are on weekends, however there are occasional events during the week days. A typical scullery job requires you to deliver in the morning & return to venue for scullery later in the evening.
• Must be able to work independently and troubleshoot issues on site
• Strong communication skills
• Clean driving record and ability to drive larger vans.
• Experience driving 16ft - 26ft box trucks a plus but not required
• Must be able to lift up to 55lbs and have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Previous event industry, restaurant, catering, and/or hospitality experience a plus but not required.
