Senior (Regional) Operations Manager
About this role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Senior (Regional) Operations Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our Hub in Venlo. In this role, you’ll coordinate container planning, distribution, quality processes and shipments, while working closely with our Warehouse, MRO and Control Tower teams to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining operational standards, supporting training and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
📍 Location: We need this individual to be within commutable distance to Venlo, Netherlands given it is an on-site position.

What You'll Do:
Plan and coordinate daily Hub operations, setting priorities based on operational demand
Plan container pre-conditioning and distribution across the Hub and EMEA stations, ensuring QC-passed containers are available where needed
Coordinate shipments with the in-house Control Tower and align daily priorities with the MRO and Warehouse Managers
Oversee the container quality process from reception through to handover, tracking pre-conditioning success and escalating deviations
Identify and escalate non-conformances, repeat failures and systemic quality issues, including deviation and CAPA management
Own and maintain Hub Operations SOPs, ensuring documentation is current, approved and understood by all relevant staff
Act as operational backup across broader Hub functions during peak periods, absences or exceptional situations, ensuring continuity of operations
Process and maintain operational data in the Company's IT systems and apply a strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics processes
Support the onboarding and ongoing training of Warehouse staff, ensuring employees are trained on relevant SOPs, tools, safety and quality requirements
Track training completion and maintain training records in line with compliance requirements, identifying gaps and proposing improvements
Proactively identify process gaps and improvement opportunities, leading updates to processes and documentation
Maintain cross-functional understanding of Hub workflows to support effective collaboration and operational continuity
What You'll Bring:
Deep expertise in logistics, supply chain, or operations, preferably in the pharmaceutical or cold chain industry
Strong knowledge of operational processes, including container logistics in a warehouse environment
Solid understanding of quality management systems, SOP creation, and process documentation
Proficiency in operational tools such as ERP/inventory systems, Confluence, Jira, and MS Office (especially Excel)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
Clear communicator; able to coordinate across teams and report concisely to management
Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
