About this role
Skillforce is hiring Commercial Plumbers for ongoing project work in Louisa, Virginia. As a Commercial Plumber, you will be responsible for running copper and steel pipe on commercial construction site. Helpers with pipe experience are welcome on this crew as well. Commercial Plumber Pay:
- Plumbers earn $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience and demonstrated field skills.
- Helpers earn $21.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience and demonstrated field skills.
- W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.
- Your rate is set at hire based on the work you can show in the field, not on a title.
Commercial Plumber Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, full time, with a 7:30 AM start.
- Overtime is available as the project schedule demands.
- No nights and no weekends.
- Ongoing project work on an active commercial construction site.
Commercial Plumber Responsibilities:
- Install copper and steel piping systems on commercial construction projects.
- Cut, ream, solder, and braze copper pipe and fittings to the plumbing plans.
- Cut, thread, and assemble steel pipe, and hang pipe and supports to layout.
- Set piping runs to rough-in dimensions and keep the work plumb, level, and square.
- Coordinate with the other trades on site and keep the work area clean and safe.
Commercial Plumber Qualifications:
- You have hands-on experience running copper and steel pipe on commercial jobs.
- You can lay out and run your own work with minimal supervision.
- Helpers need the willingness to learn and the stamina to keep pace with a working crew.
- You provide your own standard hand tools and your own PPE for the job site.
- You have reliable transportation to the job site every day.
- You are authorized to work in the United States.
