We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our Team. This is a full-time permanent role that will be predominantly based in Dublin.We are seeking a hands‑on Electrical Engineer / Building Services Engineer to lead electrical delivery on construction and fit‑out projects. The role combines site supervision, technical design contribution, BIM coordination and team leadership to ensure safe, on‑time and high‑quality installation of electrical and building services systems.

Responsibilities

 

Package & Site Management

• Take full management responsibility for the electrical systems under your control, including the Sensori electrical team, subcontractors, material deliveries and goods receipting, plant and equipment, variations and valuations. 
• Manage all day-to-day site operations for the package, ensuring Sensori policies and procedures are followed closely. 
• Oversee installation of electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting and control systems, ensuring correct handling and storage of materials and equipment throughout. 
• Track subcontractor activities against programme and manpower levels, ensuring adequate information flow to keep works progressing, with weekly meetings logged. 
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary works with civil, mechanical and controls teams to avoid clashes and maintain smooth workflow. 
• Manage scope changes, engineering revisions, non-conformities and technical queries through the project lifecycle. 

 

Design & Technical Delivery

• Familiarise yourself with design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of works. 
• Contribute to the design of electrical systems, producing and reviewing drawings and specifications for power, lighting and control systems. 
• Generate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), technical queries and engineering task logs. 
• Prepare, manage and track technical submittals and approval packages through to sign-off. 
• Prepare and review method statements, work procedures and construction documentation. 
• Evaluate and promote new engineering practices and processes that enhance delivery time and buildability. 

 

BIM & Coordination

• Oversee the coordination process that transforms design information into full installation drawings via BIM personnel, ensuring specification compliance and adherence to schedule priority. 
• Manage BIM priorities — supporting the team to develop modular concepts, typical fabrication details and isometrics, and releasing for construction. 
• Validate materials and assets within the model for construction, applying controlled change management throughout. 
• Manage the Construction Work Packs process from development through implementation to handover. 

 

Health, Safety & Quality

• Manage site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Sensori Safety Advisor, including setup, management and close-out of the safety file. 
• Enforce site QHSE requirements, electrical codes, standards and permits to work, escalating major issues to senior management. 
• Manage site QA in conjunction with the Sensori QA Manager, including setup, management and close-out of the QA file. 
• Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and the project QA plan, including pre-agreed benchmarking. 
• Provide guidance to the installation package team on compliance with all relevant standards, codes and specifications. 
• Manage the "in progress" snagging system, ensuring supervisors return weekly punch lists and that all snags are distributed to subcontractors.

 

Programme, Procurement & Cost

• Manage the project schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, consulting engineer and client requirements, ensuring engineering activities do not impact delivery.
• Maintain and update schedules, track milestones and report progress against programme targets.
• Manage material procurement using the Engineering Materials Report (EMR), producing take-offs, identifying lead-in periods and field need rates.
• Schedule and track material deliveries to correspond with the project programme.
• Prepare subcontract and supplier tender packages in conjunction with the Project QS, and assess tender returns for technical compliance with design intent and specification.
• Issue direct labour and subcontractor hours to the time administrator for central tracking.

 

Reporting & Meetings

• Issue weekly cost reports covering orders placed, materials expected and labour levels.
• Issue an internal weekly progress report rolled up from supervisor reports, showing percentage complete against WBS codes, concerns and risk elements within Sensori's control (e.g. late deliveries).
• Issue an external weekly progress report to the Project Manager highlighting areas not available, delays, design shortfalls, third-party hold-ups and percentage complete.
• Maintain a weekly photographic project diary.
• Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, whiteboard activity planning sessions and handover meetings as required.

 

Commissioning, Handover & Close-Out

• Support commissioning by driving snagging, punch lists and validation activities through to client handover.
• Close out all project deliverables including final account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety file, QA file, material and plant relocations and project plan, with the support of the site Project Manager and project team.
• Produce complete O&M and as-built documentation.

 

People & Development

• Supervise, motivate and develop site teams, subcontractors and apprentices, providing on-the-job coaching and performance evaluations.
• Support and coach junior engineers assigned to the project team — their development is central to Sensori and to the wider industry.

 

 

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience working with a recognised electrical contractor on construction or installation projects.
• Trade qualification or third-level degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution, LV/MV power systems, switchgear, control panels, cable management and installation best practice.
• Working knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g. I.S. 10101 / ET 101, IEC standards).
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM processes and proficiency with project planning software (MS Project / Primavera) and MS Office.
• Proficient in the use of systems software related to engineering functions, with excellent overall IT skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage workload and prioritise multiple deliverables.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of QA/QC processes and QHSE requirements on construction sites.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical reports, client liaison and team coordination.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage subcontractor interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical or large-scale commercial fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of modularisation and offsite fabrication techniques.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a fast-moving site environment.
• Experience managing direct labour teams alongside subcontract packages.
