We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Software Engineer (OutSystems)  to be responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance of enterprise applications using the OutSystems platform. The role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, provide BAU application support, and deliver Change Requests and Projects.

 

The role also play an important role in ensuring application quality, stability, performance, and maintainability, while providing technical guidance and coordinating development and testing activities where required.

 

Make an Impact by:

• Analyze functional and module specifications and translate business requirements into application and technical designs using established methodologies and guidelines
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using the OutSystems platform, covering both front-end and back-end development
• Work closely with developers and other technical team members to coordinate development activities, track progress, and ensure timely and quality delivery
• Provide BAU application support, including investigation, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support
• Support the delivery of Change Requests (CRs) and Projects throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and development through testing, implementation, and post-production support
• Manage and support end-to-end testing and implementation activities, including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and integration testing, ensuring test results are documented, defects are tracked and resolved, and solutions are successfully deployed to production
• Investigate production incidents, application errors, and performance issues and implement appropriate fixes and preventive measures
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration technologies
• Support application deployment, troubleshooting, and hotfix activities using OutSystems Service Center
• Develop and maintain integrations and extensions using OutSystems Integration Studio where required
• Evaluate and appropriately use or adapt OutSystems Forge components in accordance with application and security requirements
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, application flow diagrams, system documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions

 

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
• At least 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience, preferably covering OutSystems 10/11 and Traditional and/or Reactive Web applications
• Strong hands-on experience in OutSystems 10/11, including Traditional Web and/or Reactive Web application development
• Strong knowledge of both front-end and back-end OutSystems development
• Proficiency in OutSystems tools, including Service Center for application monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment and hotfix activities, Integration Studio, and the use and adaptation of OutSystems Forge components
• Good understanding of software development lifecycles, testing practices, and Agile development methodologies
• Experience supporting BAU operations, Change Requests, and Projects in an enterprise application environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team
