With the addition of UD Trucks to our existing franchises, we are looking for experienced technicians with a passion for our brands.

Role

Based in Whangarei and reporting to the Service Foreman, you'll

  • diagnose and repair mechanical issues using cutting-edge diagnostic tools
  • conduct routine maintenance, service, and inspections to keep our trucks performing at their best
  • collaborate with experienced peers, mentor apprentices, and continuously grow your skills
  • participate in ongoing brand-based training and development
  • enjoy in house training towards leadership if that interests you
  • be happy going onto the on-call roster which includes callouts as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience with commercial trucks
  • Experience with service, repair AND diagnostics
  • A strong commitment to safety and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on
  • Ideally, a Class 5 license (we can help you get it!)
  • NZQA Level 4 in Heavy Road Transport or Heavy Plant & Equipment
  • COF B certification ideal but not essential
  • Reliability and willingness to commit to the team

Note: this role can either be fulltime Monday to Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm, or a 4 on 4 off roster of 7:30am – 7:30pm, with rostered on-call duties.
