SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, modifying, and evaluating existing or proposed software, hardware, and business processes. Daily tasks include: configuring SAP ECC 6.0, Manhattan Supply Chain Solutions, or other software; designing, debugging, and testing software and business processes; coordinating with users to ensure successful deployment of best business practices, software installations, and training; planning, organizing, and controlling analysis of software requirements; developing procedures for implementation, programming, and maintenance of complex computer systems; designing, debugging, and testing programs and user defined modifications; supporting the user community by diagnosing software problems, resolving issues, and preparing instructional documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Acts as subject matter expert for a given area (Order-to-cash, Procure-to-pay, Manufacturing, Finance, Controlling, Demand Management, etc.)
Refines and validates (determine feasibility, correctness, and completeness) end-user’s requirements
Authors and approves specification documents
Provides user education for business process design and improvements
Provides input for the design and construction of test cases and business scenarios
Stays abreast of the latest technological and functional improvements and advancements for the given area of expertise
Configures software including but not limited to SAP ECC 6.0, Manhattan WMS/TMS/Labor Management, JMagic, DataWedge, AppCenter, Wavelink, etc.
Designs, debugs, and tests new software, software modifications, and business processes
Coordinates the implementation of best business practices, software installations, and training
Develops procedures for implementation, programming, and maintenance of complex computer systems
Collaborates with developers and other subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between software usability and performance
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team
Provides timely, concise status communications, both written and oral (written reports and participation in regularly scheduled team meetings)
Develops comprehensive systems documentation to be used for project and ongoing training
Supports mobility and relevant software as it pertains to the organization
Diagnoses and solves problems escalated by End User Support Team

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Software Development, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Management and/or Accounting
Managed or lead a functional area for multiple full life cycle software implementations
3 + years of experience with configuring SAP ECC 6.0 or higher and/or Manhattan WMS, TMS, or Labor Management
Understands and utilizes sound project management principles and practices
Possesses and employs sound technical writing skills
Participates in continuing education programs to keep abreast of the latest technological improvements and advancements
Evaluates, researches, and utilizes resources independently to determine business requirements and solve problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and other subject matter experts
Self-motivated and require minimum supervision
Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Ability to travel abroad
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Preferred technical skills: Basic understanding of SQL, PL/SQL and/or ABAP programming
