About the role

As Teamlead Business Implementation & Projects, you will combine two key responsibilities. You will lead complex implementation projects from start to finish while also managing the Business Implementation Team on a daily basis.

Your mission

At Shipcloud, you'll have the opportunity to lead complex logistics implementations while developing a team of Business Implementation Specialists. You will play a key role in successfully onboarding new customers, ensuring smooth implementations, and taking project management within the organization to the next level.

You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You maintain oversight, bring structure to complex projects, and know how to engage and motivate people. At the same time, you provide leadership to a team of professionals and continuously improve processes to make them smarter, more efficient, and scalable.

From international customer implementations to IT projects and process improvement initiatives, you ensure projects are delivered successfully—on time, within scope, and within budget.

What you'll be doing

• Lead complex implementation, logistics, and IT projects from initiation through successful delivery

• Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, including scope, planning, budget, risk management, quality, and stakeholder management.

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout implementation projects, ensuring excellent collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage the Business Implementation Team, ensuring effective planning, workload distribution, and the professional development of team members.

• Coach team members, encourage knowledge sharing, and further develop a high-performing implementation team.

• Develop, implement, and maintain standardized implementation processes, templates, and best practices.

• Translate standard processes into practical workflows that improve project efficiency.

• Monitor the progress of multiple implementation projects simultaneously and proactively escalate issues when required.

• Organize project meetings, customer meetings, and steering committee sessions while ensuring clear communication throughout the implementation process.

• Evaluate completed projects, translate lessons learned into tangible improvements, and drive continuous process improvement (PDCA).

• Actively contribute to the further professionalization of project management within Shipcloud and help strengthen project-based ways of working across the organization.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree level (HBO/WO) or equivalent working and thinking level.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Implementation Manager, or Program Manager.
• Experience within logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or a comparable operational environment.
• Experience leading or coaching a team.
• Proven experience with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, or hybrid project management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to bring structure to complex challenges.
• A natural leader who connects, motivates, and empowers others to take ownership.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage customers, management, and operational teams.
• Fluent in Dutch and English. German is considered a strong advantage.
