Daylight PMS is a distributed system that serves the hospitality industry. It is a solution that allows hotel employees or hotel managers to handle various activities such as managing reservations, payments and hotel services within the hotel or between hotels. The system consists of many domain-oriented microservices developed under a few cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with developers to understand their needs and provide operational support.
  • Environment Management: Maintain and monitor application environments across different AWS regions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Infrastructure Updates: Implement and manage infrastructure changes and updates using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments using tools like GitLab CI.
  • Incident Response: Actively participate in incident management processes and ensure quick resolution of operational issues.

Job Description 

  • Extending and maintaining existing infrastructure of Shiji products using infrastructure as code approach 
  • Using CI/CD tools and scripts to create automatic application deployments for microservices 
  • Helping developers in daily activities related to tools maintenance and AWS/Kubernetes/ECS operations 
  • Working in collaborative and iterative software development process with agile teams 


Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3-year experience in similar position and minimum 5 years of experience in IT industry 
  • Good experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch) 
  • Good experience with Kubernetes and Docker 
  • Experience in implementing IaC using Terraform 
  • Experience with AWS networking and security 
  • Experience with shell scripting (bash and/or PowerShell) 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required 
  • Proactive attitude and continuous improvement 

Nice to have:  

  • Experience with HA systems 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools 
  • Experience with Linux server administration 
  • Understanding of relational databases (tools and monitoring)
